How much funding will be provided?
The value of these grants has been set by Central Government:
2021 Restart Grants
On 3rd March 2021, the government announced the introduction of grant support for non-essential retail, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care & gym businesses in England known as the Restart Grant.
The amount of funding businesses will receive is based on your business sector and dependant on the current rateable value of your premises.
Non-essential retail businesses
Non essential retail premises may be eligible for one-off grants of up to £6000 with the following thresholds applying to this sector:
• For properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or under on 1st April 2021, a one off payment of £2,667 is available.
• For properties with a rateable value of £15,001 and less than £51,000 on 1st April 2021, a one off payment of £4,000 is available.
• For properties with a rateable value of £51,000 and over on 1st April 2021, a one off payment of £6,000 is available.
Hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care & gym businesses
Business with premises in these industries may be eligible for one-off grants of up to £18,000 with the following thresholds applying to these sectors:
• For properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or under on 1st April 2021, a one off payment of £8,000 is available.
• For properties with a rateable value of £15,001 and less than £51,000 on 1st April 2021, a one off payment of £12,000 is available.
• For properties with a rateable value of £51,000 and over on 1st April 2021, a one off payment of £18,000 is available.

You will also be asked to supply the following information:
- Company number (if applicable)
- Charity number (if applicable)
- VAT number (if applicable)
- Business Rates Account Number and rateable value (if applicable)
- Council Tax reference number (if applicable)
- a copy of a bank statement for March/April
- the number of employees within your business
You will need to upload a bank statement with your application:
- all documents must include either the name of the applicant or the name of the business, address, sort code and account number
